I love cookbooks. They’re almost like porn to me. It’s so satisfying to flip through a book and dream of all the delicious meals I could potentially make.

Sometimes I think I shouldn’t buy cookbooks, there is such a huge abundance of recipe sits out there. But sometimes a cookbook speaks to me and I must get my hands on it. Or I just check one out from the library. Or I win a cookbook in a giveaway. No matter how I end up with that particular book, recipes on this site that are directly from a book will feature a write-up, but I may not necessarily post the recipe because there is a reason that book is out there… so the author can earn money. I like money as much as the next person and I can respect their need to earn a buck or two (or thousand).

In instances like these I will post the recipe title and a review of the recipe plus any thoughts or anecdotes I may have about it in particular with a link to purchase the book on Amazon.

At least I won’t be contributing to recipe theft and my conscience will be clear! :-)
