Green Beans Amandine

The Vegetable:
Green Beans

The Ingredients:
1 pound fresh green beans
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons slivered almonds
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

The Instructions:
Cook beans in lightly salted boiling water until tender-crisp, about 15 minutes. Drain well. Melt butter in pan, add almonds and cook until lightly browned – about 4 minutes. Return green beans to pot; toss to combine. Salt and pepper to taste.

The Husband’s Verdict:
Wow, you can’t even taste the green bean taste. I can eat these without gagging. Good job!
